1. Always step into the batter's box with your back foot first.
2. Keep some form of motion prior to load: rock hips back and forth; swing bat in a pendulum motion; repeatedly lift front foot; bounce bat on back shoulder, etc.
3. Feet should be wider than shoulders.
4. Feet should be pointed forward toward plate.
5. Hands should be above elbows.
6. Flex Knees.
7. Line up middle or "door knuckles".
8. Hold bat at 45 degree angle.
9. Hold bat lightly in fingers - do not squeeze bat!
10. Keep knees inside ankles even at load in order to maintain maximum leverage.
